Saturday: Arrival at JFK – acclimating and resting
Sunday: Sightseeing Ridgefield, CT
Monday: Internship - first day
Tuesday: Internship - second day - Local activity
Wednesday: Internship - third day
Thursday: Internship - fourth day - Local activity
Friday: Internship - fifth day
Saturday: New York City Tour, pick from several sight-seeing options and activities
Sunday: Departure from JFK with arrival back in the Netherlands on Monday
About the Internships
The internships can vary from between a couple of days to a full five-day week.
We will endeavor to find you an internship within a local business that best suits
your interest. We cannot, unfortunately, guarantee that you will be able to have
your first choice and so early discussion with us will give you the best chance.
Depending on availability at the time, placements can be found at organizations such as
the local veterinarian, pre-schools, library, youth club, car dealership.
A non-internship option is also available. The participant will experience a full week of
excursions and activities.
Fun things to do in New York City
Together we will plan your perfect day in the City. Examples to choose from,
include:
Walk the Brooklyn Bridge, Take the Staten Island Ferry, Cycle along the
Hudson River, Stroll through Central Park, Visit John Lennon’s Strawberry
Fields and Imagine Memorial, Shop at Chelsea Market, Pay your respects at the
9/11 Memorial, Fight the Bull on Wall Street, Watch a movie on Broadway, See the
lights at Time Square, Visit the famous M&M and F.A.O. Schwarz Stores, Look around the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the MOMA, Take the Gondola to Roosevelt Island, etc., etc., etc.
